has anyone noticed more leg ,back pain????
I think by now everyone has noticed I do not have a life, hahaha well....honestly I do have alot of spare time right now, but seriously,I woke at 3:00 am noticed my legs and back of butt hurt quite a bit,and currently they are very sore ,is this because of the new way of picking up things , you know squatting ect...and has anyone else noticed it????I did have lower back surgery in june for stenosis, so I am hopeing that isnt all flared up.they(Doc) took away my muscle relaxers even though I told him my neck still spasms, his reply, "we try to do with less meds"I do still have hydrocodon 5mg/500,and just started vioxx for the c-5-6 disc thats buldging, anyway its hips, thighs front of legs back of legs and butt that hurt, gee's does it ever end?p.s I have been moving round alot more since fusion(c-6-7)so hopeing its just an old 44 yr old body complaining.Diana

Hi. I'm in the same boat. I had surgery on C5/6/7 & still have 2 lumbar discs that need surgery(degenerative disc disease & stenoisis). I have been out of work since 2000. I really think inactivity makes you notice every ache and pain 100x. My doc has me on 40 mg. oxycontin for the past 4 years & let me tell you, it's awful. My entire life revolves around my med time. About 2 hours before I'm due for my next pill, I get sooooooooo tired that I have to sleep for those 2 hrs. I have no life whatsoever!! I'm curious about the meds your doc prescribes....hydrocondon/vioxx. I know of Vioxx but I'd like to know if it helps you. Is hydrocondon anything like oxycontin? I'd really like to get off the oxy's but I need a replacement. HELP!

Re: has anyone noticed more leg ,back pain????
Hi Lynns and Patrice,1st off I am so sorry you both are going through all this too,Lynns I gotta say enough is enough with the hurricanes!!!!! I have been thinking of all of you in florida, without realizeing one of our own lives there, its gotta be a nightmare for everone there! It seems the hurricanes have formed a train of never ending destruction, and if you can say chins up, then I guess thats good advice.I am also sorry Patrice,I have nailed some of my back pain to twisting at the waist to see and talk, since I have this hard collar on,I am gonna have to remember to turn my whole body,as far as my hydrocodon goes, nope it is not near as strong a med as you take,it is only 5 mg and 500 mg of over the counter aceaminophen, the vioxx I just began takeing on the 8th, so I am not real sure if it is of any help or not, with the disc out at c5-6, it causes a real problem, cuz I am not sure what is normal from the surgery on c6-7, or what is that damn disc he did not fix,as he put it(NS) "if it causes you constant pain ,we will fix it"and all I pray is, not to go into that nasty pain again, for my sake and the families, the vioxx is a good anti-inflammatory so maybe it would be of some help to you Patrice, since anti-inflammartories help for nerve pain more so then narcodics, there has been some question on the board as to fusion and anti-inflams,I have been told by my NS ok ,but others say no, that fusion will be hindered by it,but I am to afraid not to, considering the possible hell that c 5-6 can do to me,like I have said its always something,as far as these hips and legs go, I am hopeing they just shut-up and behave themselfs too, haha, why they came on so sudden, not sure, just a big guessing game it seems, Diana p.s Patrice I hope I helped some, vioxx may be helpfull for you.
