Patch

Anyone have any problems? My side effects are: Severe breast tenderness, prolonged period (7 days versus a previous 4), early (2 weeks and continued through) menstrural cramps, and naseau and diahrea on the first patch of the month. Also, its helped stall my weight loss/caused gain few lbs. Symptoms eased gradually througout the 4 months I've been on it. I never had skin irritation until last week when I put on my arm instead of butt where it caused intense itching and still left a red mark. All and all I like this method of once of week and because things seem to be getting better I am gonna stick it out...just looking for your comments.

Re: Patch

I bought the patch because I wanted to try it. I had it on for 1 month... I ended up with nausea, and just felt like crap. My periods went from 7 days to 2 VERY HEAVY days and 3 VERY light days! I also gained 6lbs in the 1 month. I went to the doc and now im back on the pill! I didn't like the Patch! But everyone is different!
I have a friend that is on it and she thinks its great!
If you would have problems taking the pill daily then I'd think the patch is a good idea. But if you wouldn't have problems taking a pill Maybe You should talk to your Doc about the pill. I dont have any of the side effects on the pills. Just an option! hehe.. But DON'T do the Depo. You want weight gain that will do it! lol Good Luck!

Re: Patch

Hi. I have been on the patch for almost 4 months. During the first month, I experienced *major* bloating and loss of appetite. I would get so bloated after lunch that I could not even think of eating dinner. I was a tiny bit nauseated in the AM but, once I ate breakfast it went away. I also started my period 2 days before removing the last patch. After about 2 months, all of that went away. Now, the only side effect that I have is nausea the Monday morning after I put on a new patch. Again, its gone after I eat. The only thing that I dont like about the patch is that it hasnt helped my acne which is the main reasn I am on BC. Other than that, I love the patch. No weight gain, depression is the same, skin is the same, minimal breast tenderness, no headaches. I will be switching to Nuva Ring in 2 weeks to see if that will clear up my skin.

Re: Patch

I was also on the patch for 1 1/2 years until I gave it up in July. I was fine for the first year, but then during the last 6 months I was on it, 3 of those times I'd be throwing up on the first new cycle of wearing the patch. I'd constantly feel nauseous on it. It wasn't worth it to me any longer. Other than that, I really had no complaints. Eased my period from 7 days to 3 days, no cramps, no bloating. I'd probably still be on it if it weren't for the constant sickness.
