Risperdal questions!

I suffer mainly from depression, but do obsessively worry & today my pdoc gave me samples of risperdal to help with the obsess. worrying. I cannot take any ssri's so it's hard to find meds that work for me.

I just looked up the side effects of risperdal & they are totally frieghtening!!! What is a better med for obsessive thoughts than risperdal. I am calling him tomorrow & refusing to take it. I have many problems with side effects, but this is rediculous, this one says stroke, parkinsons disease & some kind of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome! HELP PLEASE!

the same thing happened to me as alliemay..all it did to me was wieght gain (besides the good effects)..it decreased my anxiety and obsessions to the point where i thought i was 100% back to normal..but i HAD to stop it due to the MASSIVE increase in appetite!! oh god! i even used to wake up in the middle of the night to eat!
hope it doesn't do this to u..but i'd say give it a try.not all ppl have the same side effects.

the side effcts of all meds are totally frightening and this includes asprin and OTC cough medicine

risperdal in a moderate dose suits most people OK and may well help, I suggest you try it

I've been on risperdal for a long time now, the side effects i get from it is lactating ( however it is spelled ) I don't know from which my other side effects come from I take nurrontin, risperdal, zoloft i have some memory issues and as well as i have to use the bathroom alot but not able to realse all at once..
