Please HELP!

I know that I have acid reflux (had it for years and the doctor's never gave me anything for it except for Carafate...and that was at least 10 years ago) most recently I have experienced terrible chest pain (on going for over a year now and have had all the tests for my heart except a nuclear stress test) usually right in the middle upper diaphram (sp?) and especially in my upper throat area...I have told my doctor for years about this and doesn't seem too concerned although about 6 months ago when we were speaking about it (because about 2 years ago I did do the swallow test) he said that I have extensive reflux...at that point and time I was so consumed with the palpitations and the chest pains it went right over my head...until now...I pretty much have constant chest pains...and boy let me tell you if I eat too much food or something doesn't set right, I throw it right up...sometimes I actually have to make myself throw up just to feel better...I have stayed the same wieght (I lost about 30 pounds last year from 150 to 125 due to stress and now I am staying at about 140...so I am not gaining weight or lossing at this moment) but I really am starting to get nervous (I have a high anxiety level anyway) about the constant chest pain ... I hate to mess with my doctor...not that he is not understanding, he takes very good care of me, but sometimes I feel like a total hypocondriac...

Any input or info would be great...

Thanks,
Bec

Re: Please HELP!

Hi Bec ,

The sypmtoms that you are describing are the same as the ones I had before having my gall bladder removed. Gall bladder problems can present a lot of different symptoms. Often someone with gall stones will think they are having a heart attack. It is something I'd look into.

LOL
