Question Questions about reading my TTC charts???

OK, I have just started charting but don't know what exactly the temping charts should look like. I have been up and down and up again and don't know if that is normal...I looked at the example chart they had enclosed with my basal thermonitor and it doesn't look like mine. On the example they showed an elevated luteal surge that seemed to stay elevated...which I thought meant pregnancy...but then it showed a period after the elevated part. So now I'm confused, here's some questions for all you:
1)Just prior to ovulating should your temp dip then surge? (I think mine did)
2)After ovulation should temp stay elevated, right up to AF?
OR
3)Should temps decrease back to normal average temp range before AF comes?
4)If you are successful with ovulation what should your temps do? (I thought being successful meant temps continued to be elevated)
5)Before ovulation should your temps be somewhat irregular? (mine were up and down)
6)Does the surge mean you are ovulating or soon to be?(how long after surge starts are you fertile for)
7)I know that I've heard the wettest discharge day is supposed to be your most fertile, is that right?
8)After successful implantation what should discharge be like? (I didn't temp or chart before so don't recall)
9)On weekends, I like to sleep in, so should I still temp if I'm not temping at the same time, or should I skip those days?
GEEZ! I didn't think I had that many questions...sorry guys!
Thanks for your help...I would have thought having a 2 year old already would have made me knowledgable in this TTC stuff...but this temping/charting thing is all new to me, so I'm relying on all your expertise.

Re: Questions about reading my TTC charts???

Ok i will try and answer all your questions.
1) Dips but not by much 0.2 maybe and then goes up to around 37 - 37.2
2) post ovulatory phase - part between ovulstion and af will increase the body temp by 0.2 and 0.5 degrees c
3) yes, apparently after ovulation and before af your temp will fall back to normal
4) You are likely to be pregnant if your temp stays high at the end of your cycle and does not drop, a temp above 37.2 represents pregnancy
5)yes, up and down a bit say one day 36.69 then up maybe to 36.73 and poss up again then back down etc
6) when you get to 37 thats is ovulation,(apparently) so i think the surege means soon to be.
7) i thought egg whitey stuff was most fertile - is that what you mean by wettest discharge day?
8) Not sure on discharge but if you are pregnant your cervix remains high and grows soft instead of becoming lower and harder, your vagina can change colour from pink to pupley blue

Re: Questions about reading my TTC charts???

Thanks Sammie! I'm anxious to go look at my chart again now, I have to wait to go home first though...I think I'll try to look up info on it on the net too...but seems like last time I looked, I didn't see alot of details on it, alot of vagueness but nothing more, you helped alot. Thanks, I'll keep you posted...
Still interested in hearing what everyone else has to say...sorry about how MANY questions I had, but any little bit of info helps, even if you only answer one point.
