Chiropractic care for muscle tension

My most severe symptom of social anxiety/panic is muscle tension in my neck to the point that I either twitch or shake. It is obviously extremely embarrassing and keeps me from making eye contact or doing simple things like eating and drinking in front of people that I don't know very well. Does anyone else experience this, and if so, have you tried going to a chiropractor to relieve some of the tension we hold in our shoulders and necks?? Thanks!

Re: Chiropractic care for muscle tension

I get tense particulary around the time of college exams. I go to the chiropractor and it really seems to help with all the tension. I feel totally better when I leave his office, like a new person. They also have some great herbal pills and creams that can help when you are at home.

Re: Chiropractic care for muscle tension

Try a massage therapist, a chiropractor is a joke...been there done that. Find someone who specializes in that area who is really educated. I had a therapist do mine today and what a difference! This person knew how to crack my back and neck and release the tension by using my pressure points and it felt like I had numbness running through all parts of my body relieving the stress right then and there. I think it really helped a bunch. Chiroprators adjust your bones and spine, they don't really focus on tension in your muscles where you really need it. Also, try exercise such as yoga!! So much is at your fingertips. Good luck

Wow, thanks so much for such quick responses!! What about Valerian Root? Somehow I stumbled upon that right after I posted this thread. Does that work??
