Need Pain Management Doctor

Hello, I am new here - Does anyone know the web site for Pain Specialist ?
I live in east TX and would like to find one in eitherTX AR LA Dallas to Little Rock, or Sheveport , I have tried one in Tyler TX , With very unsatisfactory
results. I have 4 broken vertrabe in my back from a fall and am in constant pain. Have been on 15 mg of metadone 3X day with 5 mg between for BT and
10 mg Flexrill 3X day. Dr in tyler made Pain pump trial for 3 days, then removed it, and sent me home. Said he would study case some more and call me. That was 6 months ago, has not called yet. I am 74 year old and on medicare, I think they do not pay enough for most doctors to take much
interest. Do I sound disgusted ? I guess I am, this pain has been with me for over 2 years.

Re: Need Pain Management Doctor

Hi Grandmother,
I live in Southern Louisiana but I haven`t found a pain dr here. I was sent to one and went to her and liked her but in the 6 mos I was her patiet I was pushed off to her assistant and only saw her 2 times. I got tired of it and quit.I know the assistant can write same script as she can but I didn`t care for her.I`m just going to my GP and take Loritab for pain.It is no where near enough for my back and feet pain but I have been living with it most of my life. Well I just wanted to wish you luck on finding someone. If you have a GP maybe he can give you something to control the pain until you find someone. Good Luck..Take care

Thumbs up Re: Need Pain Management Doctor

Hi Grandmother !

Welcome to this board and I'm sorry to hear about all the pain and trouble that you're going thru. Since you obviously have internet access you can use the Search function of whatever web browser you use and do a "search" using pain+management+TX as your search criteria. I just tried that and came up with plenty of PM dr/clinics all accross Texas. LOL!

Be comfortable!
