Atkin's + Sketchy BMs = ?

Okay I have been beeing the Atkin's diet for a while and (I don't mean to be gross here but) it makes my BMs looser and a couple times it was just mucusy and with a tint of blood; very strange. This doctor I asked didn't seem to concerned but I wonder if it's really not a big deal or not.

The only way to really know how serious it is is to find out wher the blood is coming from--- you know a high protein diet can cause some unusual problem--- it may take a while for them to show up???
