independent living aids

are there any thing like nail clippers that are easy to use for people with CP I would like to be able to clip my own nails but with the way my hands are it is impossible.

I would see if your doctor has or knows where to a calalog. If you have access to a PT or OT, they shoud also have catalogs. The therapist might also let you try using different gadgets before buying them. Hygene concerns may not allow you to return the clippers If you have poor circulation or reduced sensation, I'd reconsider doing it on your own. I could never use clippers & used to tear them off w/ my fingers. Both big toenails were removed a few yrs ago after being inghrown. A have a (guy) friend who goes to a nail salon.

There's something called Pistol Grip Nail Clippers. The clippers are attached to the end of a reacher for $69 but you might find them cheaper.
