Shoreline Please Help

dave,

you responded to my post last week regarding ETHEX GENERIC OXYCODONE

I have been in bad shape the past 10 days, very restless legs and much back pain.i checked ethex web site and according to the product id my rx was filled as 5mg oxycodone.orange round /ETH 315
my rx is supposed to be 15mg.
i dont even think ethex makes a 15 mg pill

please confirm this is what happened before i call the pharmacy.they probably filled it as 5mg instead of 15.i just dont want to look like an ***.
i havent been sleeping much at all and i think this is what happened

scott

Re: Shoreline Please Help

Hey Scott, Ethex doesn't make the generic equivelent to the 15 and 30 mg Roxicodone, You can get name brand or generic by Amide pharma or Mallinckrodt.
You got skewed if your script said 15mg oxy or roxi. Those are the 5's.
They are not even allowed to substitute 3 times as many 5's for he 15's and what you got were the 5's.

I would take the pills up to the Pharmacy to show them, It says on the bottle what they dispensed too, what does the bottle say?
Good luck, Dave

Re: Shoreline Please Help

thank you dave,
they didnt substitute 3 pills they filled it for the same amount as if it were 15mg.
and ive been talking with my wife the past week about going ahead with surgery because the meds dont seem to be working anylonger.

i even called the pharmacy after i picked up the rx because the description didnt match the pills and the pharmacist said its a new generic.

thanks again scotty

Re: Shoreline Please Help

These are all the makers the FDA has listed that make the 15's and 30's. Ethex doesn't make a 15mg oxy tab.

Re: Shoreline Please Help

HEy Scot, If they give you a hard time threaten to call the Board of pharmacy, a misfill on a C-11 is a very big deal, specially when you even specifically asked them to check because you felt it was wrong. That's a dangerous pharmacist that doesn't even bother to check.
Good luck and let me know what happens. Ideally they should give you a full new bottle of the 15's, that's what you paid for and not what you got.
Did they bill your insurance? insurance fraud!!! You have lots of recourse and can get it resolved today by calling your state board of pharmacy. Ask them how many other people they dispense meds 1/3 the strength and take the 15mg Roxi that should not be there now, home? The 15mg count is now off and their 5mg count is now off. It's Not something they want investigated You have all kinds of angles of attack on this.
Good Luck, Dave
