Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Diane 35, Yasmin.... etc?

Hi, I started taking OTC about two weeks ago and I am waking up with tons of new pimples everyday, I am wondering if this is my initial breakout and what exactly is an initial break out and how long does it last?

I've heard that OTC made people's skin worse, but I've also heard (from very few people) that it has helped to clear acne. If anyone has taken OTC and has had good results, how long did it take to actually see an improvement? Does anyone know if OTC contains an anti-androgen ingredient?

On the website for Diane 35, it said that the skin would be clear by three months. Has anyone used Diane 35?

I also wanted to inquire on Yasmin because Ive hear a lot of good things about it.

I know I just asked a lot of questions, but I am so fed up with these pimples I am just hoping this Ortho Tri Cyclen works and if anyone has any answers, I would greatly appreciate it if you could reply! Thanks!

I started Ortho Tri-Cylcen in May and my skin looked like crap for the first 3 months. It was really bad. I cried every time I looked in the mirror....I kept saying I was going to quit, but I stuck with them and I'm now at the end of my 6th month and my skin is great. I still get an occasional zit, but other than that, I'm very impressed with the results. I started noticing an improvement around the 4th month, but I'd give them at least 6 months. Also, Ortho Tri-Cyclen is the only one (IN THE US) "clinically proven to improve acne", not saying others don't as well.

Give it 4 months.At the moment you'll be having an initial breakout.

Thanks a lot for your replies, now I feel assured that I can stick with them, but do you think there is something I can do to reduce the pimples??

Im on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and it doesnt say anything about helping acne. I want to switch to regular OTC. Those of you that have used OTC or any BC and it helped. How old are you and did you have cysts to?
