Unhappy ~Is this normal?~

I have been on the slim fast for 14 days today. I lost 4 pounds in the first week. When week 2 started I still had the 4 pounds off, but it seemed like I started to lose a pound one day, and gain a pound or 2 back the next day. Does this sound normal? How long will it take for me to actually tell I am losing weight? Thanks for any help.

Re: ~Is this normal?~

here's a solution. don't weigh every day. once a week. it could be water weight. if you weigh yourself every day, you're just gonna get depressed. it all depends on how much you're trying to or need to lose. everybody loses more the first week than than do the rest of the weeks usually. totally normal. slimfast isn't a diet i'd reccommend but if it works for you, then keep up the good work!

Re: ~Is this normal?~

Don't let that discourage you, just keep doing what your doing AND DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY! Just like knockyourselfout said (BTW, I like that name ) I agree, Slimfast isn't the BEST option, but it certainly isn't the worst. I see alot of posts on here about diet pills, and IMO, those things are very unhealthy. At least she's getting 1200 calories a day, and all her vital nutrients. I think most people are under the misconception of the diet being ONLY slim fast shakes and no food. There is also food that is allowed in the diet. It's good short term, the only thing I don't like about the shakes is some of the preservatives but hey, they are in a lot the food we eat too! Unless you buy ALL your food at health food stores. Well, Giant Eagle is getting better. If your worried about preservatives, then the Kashi diet which includes the cereal and shakes is a good choice. It resembles the routine of the slim fast diet, but you have cereal for breakfast and a shake for lunch, with fruits and veggies bla bla bla. Kashi also has bars too, btw. Okay, enought rambling.
