Whos had experience with Ortho Tri Cyclen

Ok Im at the end of the 2nd month with Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. It has not help and made me worse in some ways. Im breaking out more, more consistantly, and a few in places I never usually got them. I know he told me that if its not working by the 3rd month that it wont (the gyno). I dont see how its worth trying the 3rd when Ive already had a couple bad breakouts and its not getting any better. Ortho Tri Lo doesnt even say it helps with Acne anyway. Not to mention Ive read on here a TON that it has also made others worse.

So my question is. Has anyone Done regular Ortho Tri Cyclen?

Did it help?

why kind of Acne did you have? any cysts? (thats what i get) moderate but persistant cysts.

Thank ya

Re: Whos had experience with Ortho Tri Cyclen

I just started my 7th month of Ortho Tri-Cyclen and my skin has dramatically improved. It took 4-5 months to see results though. I had mild to moderate acne - mainly cysts on my cheeks and jaw. I still get the occasional zit, but mostly just small ones. I rarely get cysts anymore. I was going to give up too becaue the first 3 months were pretty bad, but you just have to be patient.

Re: Whos had experience with Ortho Tri Cyclen

Well, I had perfect skin up until about 18 years old - that's when I started breaking out. I'm 24 now, and my acne is mainly on my cheeks and jawline. My pores are pretty big on my cheeks. I rarely get zits on my nose, but sometimes I get small ones on my forehead. The acne on my cheeks is mainly cysts, but on my jaw, chin, and around my mouth, I tend to get clusters of small red pimples. I'm trying to lose weight so I'm starting the Atkins diet and I'm thinking it will help with my skin too. I notice that when I drink a lot of caffiene I get zits. But the Ortho Tri-Cyclen has helped a lot. I still get zits, but mainly small ones I don't stress about. So where do you get cysts, if not on your cheeks/jaw?? If you have any more questions for me, just ask!!

Re: Whos had experience with Ortho Tri Cyclen

In my T zone, mainly my forehead, inbetween my eyebrows and sometimes my outer nose, my pores are big there, by outer nose i mean the part of your face that is close to your cheeks but under your eyes.. I dont know hard to explain. I had a few here and here in HS but not much. mine didnt start getting semi bad until I was about 21. its still monderate i guess. Im really stressing out about it. my skin is sooo oily. is yours?? I having a hard time finding a cleansing and topical regimen that doesnt over dry or leave me too oily. I hope ortho Tri Cyclen helps me. not looking forward to an initial break out.
