Has anyone tried this new birth control pill? My ob/gyn suggested it today and said one side effect is breakthrough bleeding. If that's all the harm it does, I'm doing the happy dance by giving up 8 periods a year!

I've been on it for about 6 months and I love it. I have no side effects at all. In fact, my sex drive is back up (lost it on Yasmin), I've lost weight and my moods are totally stable. I don't have any problems with breakthrough bleeding at all. I highly recommend Seasonale; it's the best BCP I've ever been on and I've been on them all. Good luck! Cyndee
Hi: I've been on the following, with the respective side effects:
Yasmin -- depression, no libido
Estrostep -- breakouts, weight gain, breast tenderness Lo-Ovral -- weight gain
Ortho TriCyclen Lo -- moodiness, cried all the time
Allesse -- moodiness
Triphasil -- weight gain
That's all I can recall for now. Seriously though, Seasonale made me feel like myself again, plus 4 periods/year is great!
