Talking stress x-rays

Hi all,

Still working with my drs to try and find an answer. I gave my dr. an ultimatum the other day. Either find out my problem with my low back or I'm out of here. 11 months of 24-7 pain is ridiculous.
Dr. did a handful of stress x-rays. They show that when I bend over, my L-2, L-3 discs are NOT in alignment. Something is causing the L-2, L-3 to be unstable and get out of alignment in the bending over position as well as the leaning back (looking at the ceiling) postion. Since all my pain has been in the low back area, these upper discs were overlooked. The MRI overlooked it as well since laying flat on your back isn't putting your back and discs under any stress. Either is standing straight upright. Now my dr. is going to talk with another dr about doing a discogram under stress on L-2, L-3.
I hope this is a help to others who may be at the end of their options (or rope) for answers. Apparently, what I didn't know is that your L-2, L-3 ligaments come down and wrap around the low back exactly where I have the pain. Even tho I am in pain still, I feel relieved that maybe the answer is just a few more tests away. I'll keep you posted. iearn
