Oral Cancer?

Hello. I was hoping someone could answer a question for me please. Yesterday I noticed a small lump on the floor of my mouth under my tongue. It feels like the top of a straight pin, round and soft, and about the same size. Is this a sign of anything?

I tried searching the net, which I am not to good at, but could not find any pictures to see if it looked the same. Any information would be truly appreciated, thank you.

If it doesn't go away by itself pretty quickly you should have it checked. Actually, your dentist is probably qualified to do the initial screening.

My husband was treated for an oral cancer last summer and it is nothing to fool around with.
