Unhappy Co-worker just diagnosed

My co-worker was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She is only 25 and I know that her condition is very serious - evidently it has spread.
I want to offer some sign of support but she is keeping a low profile about it. What is appropriate to say? Can I give her a little gift or something?
Or is it better just to go on as business as usual?

I don't know any details - I just know that she is not doing so well but I just don't know the appropriate way to show support.

I think cancer is obviously devasting for anyone but the fact that she is so young really makes my heart go out to her.

If anyone prays here - please pray for her.

most thyroid cancers are highly curable, except for anaplatic. thyroid cancer can also make you feel terrible, because it can destroy the function of your thyroid. treatment with radioactive iodine, and surgery is curable even if it has spread except for anaplastic.

Smile

hello,
I was diagnosed with bowel cancer 18 months ago. A simple card with a few words was truly appreciated. It really helped to know others were thinking of me and gave me the opportunity to write back to them, at a time when I didnt feel comfortable talking about my illness.
Hope this helps.
