Question testicular cancer question - help needed

i have some swelling in my left testicle... only it is not on the testicle itself, it is separate and around the testicle. from what i have read about self-exams it seems this is the epididymis and i do not have to worry about this, but it has been around for a while and seems too large to be normal. what is your advice?

Well...it's good to get this checked out. It is natural to be afraid of cancer if you feel a lump in the testicle, but these things are not always lumps. They can be things like spermatoceles, hydroceles or varicoceles which are basically different types of cysts which can appear if the layers of tissue in the scrotum have spaces in them.

Another thing with testicular lumps is that any guy, including myself, would be deathly afraid of something like testicular cancer. Because of this, we tend to be very hypervigilant if we find something there. The more and more we check it, the more anxious we get.

My advice would be to get it checked out by the doctor, and just make sure that it's nothing....it'll put your mind at ease.
