In my opinion, it's important to discuss alternative medicinal practices, with your physician too. But I also feel that when your life is at stake, it's important to review other alternative treatments.
I'll give you one example. I know a woman who is (I think) over 80 years old. She owned a herb shop, until her cancer came back for the third time. She had told me that it went into remission twice, after she took a collection of herbs. She was very knowledgeable about herbal therapy.
Her cancer got so much worse last Fall, that she sold the herbal business to someone else. I had heard that the cancer spread throughout her entire body. I thought for sure that she would be gone from us. Last week, I timidly went to the same herb shop and asked how the elderly woman was doing by the new proprietor (who knew this elderly woman), expecting that I would hear that she had passed away. What this person told me, was rather startling.
She said that her cancer went into complete remission (this now being the third time), then she caught pneumonia, and then went into the hospital. Then the cancer came back strong again (evidently from with a weak immune system from the pneumonia). But with her herbal treatment, she beat this cancer again (fourth time). I was told that she was in the herbal store just a few days ago, walking about feeling just fine. I don't know of any of the details about which herbs etc. as I will try to find out more. But the point to my story, is that for some people, their bodies can be cured or helped by alternatives that would most unlikely be never given by a conventional doctor or oncologist.
This 80 year plus woman is one of the nicest people I had ever met. I'm glad that she is doing so well. She was one of those people that would loan you her herb books without charging a cent. Often, she would round down my purchases to the nearest dollar. She's one of those people that you are glad that are still around with us to share the joys of living.
I would also like to thank Vigilante for pursuing and telling us about these alternatives too. There's so much out there that we just don't know about. We are learning all the time....
