Question Sore Throat...Tonsil Cancer? Please Help!!!

Hi,
Well this will be my first posting. I am very worried these days. Let me start by saying that I have recently had tooth extractions and thought maybe that was related, but now I'm not sure. For about 2 weeks I have had such a sore throat, but can't see a doctor. I have no insurance and have paid an arm and a leg for all my dental work. I have recently noticed that right on my tonsil I have a bright red spot with a small white patch. I know that it could easily be strep throat, but I have had on going problems with my throat for the past year or so on the same side (left). Well this is the same side that I had my extractions done about 4 weeks ago. I do smoke, I'm sure whoever is reading this was wondering that. I have been to the doctor in the past for a sore throat and have had white patches, but they never said anyhting about possible cancer. It hurts me to swallow, but I can. The times that it feels the worst is in the morning and late afternoon to night time.
Could someone please get back to me on this. Feel free to e-mail me at
SandyC0771@aol.com I hope to hear back from someone soon.
Thanks, Sandy

You need to see a Dr. Your nearest local hospital MUST treat you if it is a public one, by law.
Go to the urgent care clinic or emergency area. You have strept, and this illness does indeed "go away" on it's own by going to your heart. Only antibiotic will cure it. So go, OK?

I agree with the above poster. To add to that, there must be free clinics or clinics that charge on a sliding fee in your area to take care of you. You need to be treated.
Take care,
Lori
