help! testicle Pain - antibiotics Not Working
Hey everyone..new to the board and just wanted to put my problem out hoping to see if someone can offer some help. I'm a 23 and i have a dull ache/pain in my testicles, mostly on my right one. It's been going on and off for about a month, but has gotten worse over the past few days, more constant. Saw a doc about it who put me on cipro for 10 days, no help. Went to the ER where they did an ultrasound and found a slight inflammation of the right epidiymis, but this was after my course with cipro. Doc put me on a 14 day course of cipro and doxy, and lortabs for the pain. Helped a little in the beginning, but the pain came back after a few days.Really worried, read a post where someone suggested a chiropracter, for nerves...anyone? Also noticed that my errections don't stay while having sex with my gf..maybe i'm thinking of the pain? or maybe there might be something wrong physically? Don't really feel the pain when i walk around, but when i sit or lay for awhile, it returns. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! Any advice would help!!!

Re: ***help!testicle Pain/antibiotics Not Working***
I have the same thing, only mine has been going on since may 2004. I've had 3 Ultrasounds, 2STD tests, many hernia checks, white cell counts, and 2 urologists. Have a pain in my right testicle and it never fully goes away. I've been diagnosed with epididimitis over 4 times! The thing is every urine test, or blood test never revealed an infection, but was still put on antibiotics. Obviously it's probably not an onfection in you either. I haven't figured out what it is, or anything yet, but I do know the less strong pain meds you take oever time the better it feels, or did for me. and wear a supporter like jockstrap, it helps, especially during sleep, walking around, etc.. IF you take showers, put it on a luke warm setting, hot will only pull the testicles down making more inflamed, but cold makes them too tight. Hope any of this helps, and if you find a cure, please let me know..

Thanks..i've had 3 ultrasounds as well. The 3rd one was just yesterday, where they found nothing! I can't believe it..I also have some lower back pain and some lower abdominal pain too. Do you have these symptoms as well? Any trouble with erections? I was thinking about seeing a chiropracter, maybe there's something associated with our nerves? But would that be linked spcifically to the testicles?. This is really troubling. I haven't done anything physical because my doc said to take it easy after i had some brain surgery (subdural hematoma) where they drained some blood from my head. I def. will try to see whats up..i don't know where else to turn if nothing shows up on the ultrasound...what else could it be?

Re: ***help!testicle Pain/antibiotics Not Working***
on and off I get the abdominal pain aomseitmes feeling like I got kicked in my sack type aching. Can't say my back hurts, but I do know that since the sperm cords run through the prostate and behind the abdomen, that could be the reason for pain in those particaular areas.
I can't believe the doctors either!! I have found so many guys with the same problem, that were diagnosed with epididimitis, etc, and just like us, no relief, even with surgery! There has to be some treatment, and a proper way of diagnosing this somewhere.. If you find any further info let me know, and I will do the same..

Re: ***help!testicle Pain/antibiotics Not Working***
Hi,
As I posted before, I have the same kind of problem. I had pain in the right testicle 3 years ago, went to a urologist. He did UltraSound and nothing showed up. After that he asked me talk Advil for a week and pain went away.
Again the problem came last year in Nov. I went to him again he did a dip stick test on Urine and nothing showed up. He gave Streiods. But Pain persisted.
I have dragging kind of Pain in the right leg.
Then I wnet to an internist. He put me on Antiboitics ( Ciproflaxvin) thinking it is epiditamis.I was fine for 2 weeks. Again the Pain started.
This week I wnet ot him again. He did a Culture ( not Dip stick) on the Urine and there is UTI ( Urinary Track Infection). Today he changed the Antiboitics to MACROBID. He said that the bacteria is resistant to Ciproflaxvin.
I will keep yu posted.
I want to ask you guys whether have they done Urine Culture .
Also do you guys have pain in the right leg.
Let me know. Please keep posted as we have a similar problem and hopefully we will find a solution to this
THanks
SK
