Sunglasses?

I have a rather frivolous question. I love the frame on my prescription sunglasses and was wondering if anyone else has actually had the same desire as me to keep them but have them changed to non-prescription after their surgery. The question is, where would I do that. I don't know if I can just take them to a sunglass hut or something like that to have new non-prescription lenses put in them. I know that my choices for sunglasses will be unlimited after my surgery but, I really love the look of my current frames. Any ideas? Can I even ask a question like this on this board or does it all have to pertain to the surgery and experiences?
Thank you in advance for any advice any of you can give me!

Re: Sunglasses?

I know that my optometrist does this with glasses. She mentioned to me that after I got my surgery, she could change my old glasses into sunglasses, but I haven't taken her up on it yet. I would suspect a lot of places that sell glasses could do it. It's pretty simple.

Hating Glasses
I would can that idea totally!!! I have worn contacts for 25 years and and have worn GOOD quality sunglasses always. Feb. 1, 2005 I will be getting lasik done and can't wait to be able to wear my Maui Jims again!! I had to stop wearing contacts 2 1/2 weeks before surgery so that my corneas could return to their normal shapes. You can't beat the UV protection that Maui Jims give you and I don't think you will even come close to getting a quality lens put in your existing frames.
