kidney concerns

For a long time now, i just haven't felt like my old self.i constatly run a low grade fever and i'm tired all the time. i guess it started a couple years ago.i went to doctor for a kidney infection and low grade fever. no kidney infection.they checked for kidney stones(ivp) none and also did sonagram of kidneys, nothing. i was sent to a kidney specialist who checked my protien levels and only said that my protien level was 10 times higher than normal.she put me on accupril to try and control the levels and planned to do more test in 6 months.me and my husband had no health insurance and could not afford to continue these doctor visits.so it's been about 2 years since i've been to the doctor and we still can't afford to go .my husband just got a descent job and we can get health insurance in 3 months.my question is does anyone know what could be wrong.right kidney still hurts.is the fever and fatigue due to these kidney problems.

Re: kidney concerns

Ten times higher protein in urine is obviously abnormal. Very probably there is some kidney disease (glomerulonephritis or other inflammation, I guess; pain, fever and fatigue go with it). After long lasting disease kidney may became unrepairably damaged. So, proceed with investigation as soon as possible.

Re: kidney concerns

Do you have any problems with your blood pressure? High blood pressure can cause kidney problems.
