Post Possible sign of breast cancer?

Hi, I am 28 years old and have no family history of breast cancer but I have noticed today while showering that the skin just underneath one of my nipples is slightly lighter in color than the surrounding skin. It was never like that before so I noticed it right away but it's just a very tiny spot that is discolored about the size of a speck of oregano. I did not feel any lumps in my breasts but I do have breast implants so it is really hard to tell. I guess my question is if this discoloration can be a sign of breast cancer or maybe is just some hormonal change. TIA everyone. This is a great website!

It doesn't sound like breast cancer. But--you should always have breast changes checked out by a doctor. It only cost $30 to go in and for him to say "nope, not cancer". It is much more mind easing to hear from a doctor than someone on the internet.

Hi:
Just a word about changes in the skin color or texture on the breast. You should definitely bring anything of this nature to the attention of your doctor.

I don't think the skin looking paler is a problem, but if you ever observe a reddening of the skin, or a dimpling on the surface of the skin, these can be danger signals! From personal experience I can tell you that an orange-red coloration to the skin can be a tell-tale of Inflamatory Breast Cancer (IBC). This type of breast cancer does NOT have a lump associated with it!! It is a very aggressive cancer which has usually matastasized before it is even diagnosed. The prognosis is poor.

So, to be on the safe side, let your doctor be the one who decides whether it is a problem.

Best wishes!!
