Yes, that's right, Concerta is methylphenidate with a special delivery system. It's delivery is different than that used in Ritalin ER but it is the same medication.
I ask because I am currently taking ritalin and have asked for soemthing else so I do not have to remeber taking pills. Does Concerta have the same crash as ritalin? I am not even sure my doc is going to give me concerta. He mentioned the "once a day" pill. I currently take 30 mg of ritalin (15 x twice a day). YOur feedback to any extended release is appreciated
no, it doesn't have the same crash. it goes up fast then continues to peak slower and then starts to decline. you can find graphs of its peaks online if you do a search for something like "concerta graph"
