Tuna is one of the lower mercury fish if canned; .17 parts per million while fish like salmon have non-detectable amounts so eat more of that...the Omega's are worth it! To me, salmon and tuna are fine but I don't eat the ones' on the large content list below. Actually, fresh and frozen tuna have higher amounts than the canned tuna. I personally rather have the salmon, however, it comes fresh and also canned.
The first number is PPM(parts per million) and the second is Omega Content.
Here are the top mercury containing fish to avoid or eat very sparingly:
