confused and feel helpless -please help

i have posted and received great ideas from everyone here. i dont know how to thank you wonderful people. i'm getting to the point of crying some days as i cant figure out the right thing to do next - which doctor- what doctor-
i feel like i'm just jumping around. PLEASE let me know what i should do next. for those who dont know my history here it goes.

my car was hit from the rear. ny head and body went forward and then snacped back all the way -did not hit headrest. i felt immiate pain in nexk and felt like a knife went through my back.

i have seen.
primary doc

neuro - at frist worried because of many herniations and bulging and my massive back pain in upper thoracic and numbing,tingling/buzzing in arms and tingling/buzzing

pt - 6 weeks -actually made legs buzz more-

neuro sureon-spine specialist - at 1 month (said would feel in in 3 months)

ortho surgeon -spine specialist at 3 months - was starting to feel good so probably should not have gone at that time

another neuor surg -spine specialist-2 weeks ago - says probably digenerative disc disease

chiro dec -did nothing
I know i had no herniations in cervical from mri taken 6 years ago and small thoracic herniation prior. i know have cervical c5/6, central small hern disc and 2 small bulges, thoraci moderate central t7-t8, moderate and contacts and mildly deforms the ventral aspect of the spinal cord but does not create any cental canal stenosis t8/9 herniation and large central herniation with some cord compression contacts and mildly deforms the ventral aspect of the spinal cord but does not create any cental canal stenosis t8/9 herniation. (this was from last neurosergeuns writeup) According to radioligist report of my mri.

it says my spinal cord has no signal abormality in either cervical report or thoracic report.

emg negative - taken 12.17/04

i was going to see another ortho tomorrw but am probably going to cancel and set up to see a physiatrist/pm in 2 weeks .

3 people say surgery wont do anything so i just dont want to shop for a doctor that tells me to do it. any i started getting minor leg twitches since this happened.

my neuro has me on cymbalta, immiprimne, and sinemet. I am in nyc.

I AM LOST --PLEASE ADVISe

thank you so very much for your response. yes i did take mris of all 3 parts of my spine with the results listed above.

i feel lost as most others are on how to get out of this pain and rut.
not sure if i go to another neurologist ,another ns,ortho, a pm person or what...

Go to an orthopedic spine specialist, with a spine fellowship. You can find one at spine.org if you don't know any.
