To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin,etc.

Hi there!
I am stunned with the cost of this medicine, a bottle the size of a trial shampoo!, and you have to shell out almost $70! Outrageous. ANYWAY,
I am wondering if this is normal, or just me? I have used the gel and it was a miracle. I just starting using the LOTION form, and already, face face is soo oily! I am worried because wouldnt this make my skin worst? I hope this is normal, and goes away because it is so expensive & if it will make me worst I'd rather stop using it. Any input would be much,much appreciated.

I don't have any information, but I always thought Clyndamicin was only an oral anti-biotic. It also is a topical?

I tried the ClindaMax Lotion and I stopped using it for that reason.

About my skin:
My skin is VERY VERY oily on it's own. Meaning that every 3 hours I must use 4 clean and clear sheets to get it off.

When I used ClindaMax Lotion my skin was even more oily and I would have to blot my face every 1-2 hours...

The lotion might be good-- meaning I stopped using it after 3 days... it's just not for me.

Yea, i pay $12 for each little tube. I gotta get a new one every week and a half or so. I use it twice a day. Still getting some cystic pimples on my upper back right below my neck, and on the right side of my face on the jaw line... so frustrating! these are some extra stubborn pimples as of late. How long did you need to see ideal results?

I was given about 10 little things of clindamax (probably week or week and 1/2 worth in each tube using twice a day) I am using clindamycin, 15$ with insurance. The tube as lasted me 4 weeks so far, i see about 2-3 more left in it. Using twice a day, a pea sized amount is enough.

I noticed no new breakouts since day one of using this stuff. I am also taking 1 100mg pill of doxycycline a day too. Sometimes i take 2. My face is doing so well, im mad i waited so long to visit derm.

As for the oil, my face was dry before, then it got really oily in first week, it slowly slowed in late week 2 and week 3. Now its normal oil, and my face is excellent.

As for yall's prices, thats high for the little clendamax bottles. But i havnt even used those yet, im using clindamycin which is a cleocinT off brand. Its not a lotion, its a clear gel like substance.
