Question I need info about lung cancer

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. My father has lung cancer and I just found out. He has had it for about 2 years now. He does not know that I know this. But he claims that he is taking pills for this. I have never heard of that, I always thought you would have to have chemo or radiation therapy to put this in remission. Has anyone ever heard of just taking pills for this and what is a life expectancy? He seems okay when I see him but he could be putting on an act for me. He is only 54 and he was a smoker but quit cold turkey 8 years ago. I would really appreciate the feed back

Unhappy

I am sure that your Father wants to protect you from worry and fear. He probably does not want to be confronted on this, and he has a choice to make of what treatment is best for him.

My husband was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in May of 1998 and he opted for surgery and herbs. He also later on needed Chemo and Radiation for new outbreaks. He went thru some bad times with both treatments.
The only pills he actually took were morphine for the pain. The Cancer can be painful and pain control is very important.

If you want more information call his doctor and try to let him know your concerns and how to deal with this. Study up on Lung Cancer and I hope all works out well for the both of you.
