Post lung mass

Ok for the last 4 years the Docs have been following this mass in the left lung, the usual MRI and cat scan with iodine or whatever it is and each time no changes etc. Sometimes even in ct they say it is hard to see and can't really figure it out. I do have hyperplasia and the year before in 96 I had a large benign cyst removed from the left breast, they say the mass is in suprahiler(sp) area. This year the ct showed no changes but discovered more cysts in the mid thoracic area(Tarlov cysts)also have nerve root cysts in the foot could the mass be a cyst of some kind like the rest of the body has? Also I have cysts on the liver. This has been going on for 4 years can't they do any other tests to determine if it is a benign tumor or do we just have to keep on checking each year? My insurance only covers a third of the test which leaves us with $700 we pay each year. I'm looking for a test that can pin point exactly what it is and hopefully a less expensive one.

Thankyou for that bit of info. As far as I know I have no thyroid problems and I do get blood work frequently due to malabsorption problem of which I receive B-12 shots every month. I will look into the this cowdens(never heard of it)syndrom and discuss with my neurologist and internal med Dr and see if it is feasible I see a geneticist. Thankyou again.
