Iressa advice

Hello All,
My mother has lung cancer that has spread to her liver and back. She is 73 years old. She was just approved for Iressa after a long battle to get her the medication. I am looking for any advice on the side effects and how to treat them. Any other comments on how to deal with this situation would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes to everyone dealing with any disease.

Hi,

My husband just started IRESSA yesterday. From what I have read and what the Dr. told him the side effects are mild, with the worst being Acne and Diarrhea (spelling).

Reports have been pretty good, so, hopefully, your mother and my husband will do well.

Thanx for replying so quick.
Who is your husband's doctor and what hospital is he with?
The Chemo has left my mom like a zombie. Do you know if Iressa has the same effect?
