Hi,
I don't know how long you've had your bump, but it could be a simple explanation. I'm assuming you're a guy so this might apply. I have had whiskers that decided to grow inward rather than outward. When this happens the hair follicle becomes infected and a bump will appear. I believe it will stay there until you actually dig the whisker out (kind of like a boil I guess) or let it disappear over time. I have one right now actually. Just popped up this morning. If I didn't shave I would have a thick beard in probably 4 days, so I have a lot of fast growing whiskers I guess. Boy does it hurt... just to touch. When I got the first one I went in and this is what the doctor told me anyway. Usually they went away on its own over a month. If you want it away sooner have your doctor dig it out... If that is indeed what it is. In any event, I wouldn't blame you for having a doc look at it. I'm just offering a possible reason for it.

My son had a lump under his chin. The Dr.s thought it was a thyrol glossal cyst. It turned out to be lymphomia. He had the lump removed and under went
chemo. Thanks to the good Lord, my son is going on 2 years now cancer free. Your's may just be a cyst, but please have it checked out. God bless you.
