Post swollen lymph nodes

Hi everyone

I was just wondering how swollen a lymph node in the groin area has to be to be considered abnormal. I have some flat squishy lumps, almost like a flat raisin in my groin. I have had some other health issues related to my neck and throat so I am constantly feeling for lumps. I also have a hard swollen gland on my neck that is about a half inch that has been there for years. It gets much bigger when I am sick but it never goes down completely. I had swollen lymph tissue behind my tonsil on that same side which my ENT doctor biopsied and it came back (-)
Do you think I have anything to worry about? I do have hot flashes but am perimenopausal and they do stop if I take estrogen. I feel healthy other than that. No fever but sometimes little tired. Thanks for your input.

I too, have a hard, swollen lump where my tonsil is. I thought it was due to seasonal allergies) Of course I am worried of the obvious, but, in my case, I've had this sort of lump about 2 years ago near my other tonsil and it eventually went away. Don't cancerous lumps get worse over time?

Hope this helps...

I am wondering that too-don't cancerous lumps get worse? I have had a string of 3 small HARD painless nodes (Like little peas, only one is moveable) behind my right ear for about 4 years. I think they are calcified or something. I once had a bad wisdome tooth on that side. I also have had "lymph nodes" (2 small ones) detected in my mammogram that remain unchanged. Now most recently, a hard lump popped up in FRONT of my left ear, not too big, like the size of a pencil eraser- last week. At first it was painful to touch ( I poked at it a lot) but a few days later it just feels like a hard painless fixed lump. I went to my family doc and he felt it, chacked me out for cuts or infections on my scalp, there were none. I have no other symptoms that I know of. He sent me for a CBC and maybe something else, not sure. 15 minutes later he came and told me blood work was normal and he sent me on my way. Well, its still there. I came right out and asked him if it needed to be taken out and he said no. I asked him if it could be lymphoma or similar, he said probably not. OK, can someone tell me what I should do from here? Just forget about it? Any advice appreciated.
