Question Wondering..Help!

I have a friend who has had lymph nodes swollen in her neck for ten years. She went to the doctor when they first showed up. He told her she had something called lymphinitis , gave her medication. The medication didn't do anything , and they've been the same shape and size for ten years. The doctor said things were fine so she hasn't been to a doctor since. Could there be something more serious there?

i have had swollen glands my whole life. After several operations to remove and biopsy, they finally diagnosed me with reactive lymph syndrome. It is worrisome, but I guess there is really nothing that can be done. If I get the least little infection, cold, etc. they will swell and sometimes one will just stay that way.
