Very VERY sore bump lower back

Okay so in about 2 or 3 days I developed this bump on the very top of my butt crack/lower back...It is very very very sore right now...If I sit down I have to lean forward (almost to the point of my face touching my knee for it to even be bearable to sit down) I can't lay on my back, if I do lay on my back and turn over it is very painful for about 10 seconds.....The only time i'm semi-comfortable is when I'm standing up (which is still sore) or laying on my side.....I put some hemoroid (spelling?) cream on it thinking that maybe it's just a fluid build up and that it will go away....Today is def. the worse day (soreness wise)....Like I said, it was there about 2 days ago.....I did go running yesterday and I think that that irritated it.....Just wondering what this is and praying I don't have to go a doctor and that it will go away within the next couple of days....Thanks

edit: when I touch the bump it is very itchy/sore

Re: Very VERY sore bump lower back

I think I would go to the doc. I dont want to scare you but you could have a fissure or something of that nature. LMG

Re: Very VERY sore bump lower back

Is this by your tailbone? Could be a Pilonidal cyst.

if you look at that picture, where it's absolutely horrible in hurting is where the Pelodial Dimple is....it's 4:26am right now and this is just unbearable pain...I'm not comfortable standing sitting or laying down....where this bump is is exactly where the Pelodial Dimple is
