Worried college kid

Hello -- I'm a new user, and I come to you all with a concern and a request for advice. I'm a 19 year old female college student. I do not drink, smoke, or do drugs. I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle; I'm fit, and for the most part I eat right ;P
That being said, on to the concern:
Two days ago, my roommate pointed out a small bump over the arch of my left eyebrow. There was no redness to it, the only odd thing about it was it seemed to have formed under a small chicken pox scar (had the pox when I was 6ish). Normally one would automatically assume it was a pimple of some sort, and that's what I wrote it off as. But for the most part, I have been acne free for two years now, and as of today, I started to feel a slight pain when I furrow my eyebrows or touch the bump. Getting irritated I went into the bathroom and examined it closely. Perhaps it is an insect bite? There is no visible puncture marks .. I poked it, ignoring the pain. If I push it hard enough it moves slightly under my skin. That's what alarmed me ..
Then I contemplated lancing it to drain the fluid as one would do to a pimple, but the skin it's under is a bit too thick, and it IS my forehead after all. I quickly forgot that idea.
That's not all. I seem to have another bump/cyst on the same side where the soft part of my lower ear meets my skull. This one seems to have swollen slightly, and it pains me to tense my jaw or yawn.
I didn't want to spend the money to go see a doctor if it was nothing and I was worrying over nothing, after all I am a poor college kid. Any ideas or suggestions

Re: Worried college kid

It could just be a cyst under there, but definitely don't mess with it. My husband just had one random one (on his forehead too) and his doctor said that if he tried to pop it, it could rupture under his skin. I know someone else who had one on his earlobe and did squeeze it, and it ruptured inside and he had to go to the emergency room to get it drained and he had to take antibiotics. I saw his ear after the fact, it was HUGE. So I can imagine how that would look right on your face. Maybe go to the health center at your school to have it checked? Good luck!

Re: Worried college kid

Thank you guys. You've definitely made me feel better -- I have a tendancy of jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst. Hearing about people's personal experience is the best I'd say.
Anyway, I'll let the cysts go for a few more days and if they don't fade I'll seek medical assistance. Thanks again ^_^
