Pain, is it ovarian or a hernia or something else?

I am a female of 38, who has a pain that comes and goes on the lower left abdomain, almost running into the groin area. It comes and goes and is quite a sharp pain. It was worse just as my period was due to start, but also happens at other times. Any ideas what it could be? Many thanks

Has your gynocologist checked you for fibroids or endometrosis? It might be one of those two things, or even possibly a bowel problem. Might be a good idea to start with your gynocologist and see what he/she says. Hope you feel better soon!
