how long does it take 1 dose Zithromax to cure Chlamydia?

On Monday I received a phone call saying my test results came back positive for Chlamydia. The doctor prescribed me 1 dose of Zithromax. I took the medicine the very same day. It is now Friday and I still notice that I have a discharge. Does this mean that the medicine did not working?

I would think the medicine did worked. Zithromax is a powerful antibiotic.

Yes, I do have symptoms, I have a discharge, and it itches, and its starting to be some discomfort when I urinate.

It takes two weeks for it to clear, but you will need to confirm it by redoing the exam , to see if the bacteria is dead or not.

could just be a yeast infection...
