Question anyone's dr. prescribed Celebrex for CT pain? or vioxx?

My dr. prescribed Celebrex for me - and so far it has done nothing. I've been taking it for 5 days.

Any info/advice appreciated.

I started out on Bextra, then went to Predisone (steriod) and finally to Cellebrex.

None of these helped the pain. I have been on medication since November.

Ask you Doctor if you are allowed to take a second dose in the evening. My doctor let me try that for a few days and it helped some but gave me bad indigestions so I had to go back to once a day.

I got some relief from massage and stretching (difficult for the first week, it hurt) but I have not found anything which really gets rid of the pain.

I've tried Celebrex, and various others. Vioxx swelled my ankles so bad I couldn't get out of bed for two days. I'm on Bextra now and I really can't tell the difference of being on an anti-inflamitory or not being on one. I feel the same hurt either way.

Well, I've officially been on celebrex for 2wks. It still is doing NOTHING for me, in case anyone was wondering or considering trying this! It is sooo expensive...I'm not planning on taking anymore since it hasn't relieved any of my pain/symptoms.

My Dr. gave me samples of MOBIC and it was awesome. Pain-free and no side effects at all - zero, ziltch, nada!. My insurance won't cover it so now I'm trying Arthrotec but it gave me stomach pain. I want more Mobic. Might try to see if you can get some. Hope it helps
