Post Having Surgery Tuesday

I have CPS and am schedule for surgery Tuesday. I was just wondering about how long the rehab process takes and what I can expect. Due to a crushing injury to my right wrist and hand they say I have to have this surgery, not really crazy about the idea...

Silent,
I had bi lateral CT release but mine was edoscopic. They did both hands on the same day and was sore for a while. Went to PTfor 2 months 3 x week which really helped. I have known people who haven't had the PT and aren't doing that great so if you are given a choice like I was take it! They sent me back to work too soon but after 2 days of working he put me back on workers comp. After a few more moths I went back to work doing the same thing and 6 months later back at the Dr and now I am in Vocational rehab. I can't go back to doing what I was doing before but I feel soo much better ! Give yourself enough time to heal properly and don't try to over do it. If all goes well you should be feeling almost 100% in a few months. I know that there are people who have had the surgery and not had great results but mine was good as long as I don't do too many repeatitive things like typing too much. Humm with that said good luck to you!

I had CPS feb 10 and feb 24 and am starting back to work April 7th. I'm hoping that it's not too soon but I'll give it a go. I was surprised that I needed that much time off. I thought two weeks for each hand was more than plenty but I saw at the end of that time, it wasn't near enough. Pamper, pamper, pamper those hands. Don't try to do too much; it's pretty important. It drives me crazy to sit around but it has to be. I weedeated a little bit today since it was so nice outside and it still isn't feeling all that great. I don't think I'm doing any damage (going for the teeny weeny weeds) but these hands need time to heal.
