How did you notice first symptons?

I woke up one morning and there it was; out of the blue: numbness and loss of power in my hand.
How did you notice the first symptons?
Did you get "warnings" first, e.g. tintling, coming and going numbness, etc? And if so: was this for days, weeks, months?

I first thought I had hurt my shoulder of all things, blamed it on tendonitis of the shoulder. Never did figure out why the hands were hurting! So maybe I am not too bright or maybe denial is a better word for it. Now my fingers swell and hurt and I have a considerable amoumt of pain in my upper and lower arms. So I am pretty well discusted with the whole thing! Good luck to you!
