the pain wont go away

I have not been to a dr. yet but i have so much pain and numbness in my right hand , and the pain goes into my arm up to my elbow. Its got to the point that the pain and burning and numbness wont go away it constant.It has affected my sleeping at nite that i wake up in extreme pain and have to put my hand under water, but that doesnt help. I know i need to get to a dr. soon and have it checked out.

Have you made an appointment with the doctor yet? I have been there and I use to wake up in the middle of the night crying. Plese go and see the doctor or make an appointment if you haven't already.

Try shaking your whole arm & hand when you wake up. This made my pain go away for a while.

I had surgery, a small incision at the back of my palm. It reduced the pain in one hand about 75% & completely in the other hand.

Do not do surgery in both hands at the same time.
