Cool BOTOX injections for adults

I was recently diagnosed with mild CP spastic diplegia (at age 35) and have been prescribed both Dantrolene and Zanaflex. The dantrolene made my condition worse and the Zanaflex so far isn't doing things. I have my good days and my bad days.

I know that CP is diagnosed during early childhood, and I was referred to an orthopaedic clinic when I was 1-2 years old, but my parents were not told that there was anything to worry about. I was a little slower running than the other kids. Additionaly, I am a twin, and I believe my brother also has mild spastic diplegia, he just has no reason to get diagosed with it.

I am quite capable of doing a lot of things despite my condition. The only reason I was even diagnosed was because I am in the US Navy, being able to maneuver myself around a rolling ship at sea can be quite hazardous to myself. My dragging toes don't keep me from doing my job, but one of these days, I'll be called upon to respond to an emergency and I'll hesitate for fear of falling 12 feet and possibly injuring myself.
Besides that, I am incapable of passing the semiannual physical fitness assessment. It doesn't matter that I can run more than 5 miles without stopping. I need to run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes.

At my previous appointment with an orthopaedic specialist, BOTOX was mentioned as a possible treatment. All the information I can find is based on research with children.

Are there any others out there who are diagnosed later in life? Is there any research studies on BOTOX for adults? Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.
