Lightbulb aging and c.p.

My husband and I both have cp. We were told from child on that our mild c.p. would not be getting worse. Non-progression guarenteed. I am 36, he is 42. He is doing pretty well but I refuse to walk without a device (cane or walker) becuase in the last two years I have sustained many falls. I appreciate the internet because I know that this is actully pretty typical. My life is in Jesus's hands and I know people did not know the course the c.p would take but lets be honest with kids and young adults about mobilty changes that happen to us around 30-40 so that they will not feel lied to. I have trouble walking without a cane or walker. As I stated, I have had tons of falls in the last two years and one landed me in the e.r.. Balance and spasticity are the cause (we think). Medical pros are not consistant about reasons. Not to sound haughty but I know more about c.p. than most doctors around here. Experience is a great teacher!

WOW!!!!!! Do I ever know how you feel!!!!!!! At 41, my mobility is decreasing steadily. I have used a wheelchair since age 12. As I age, I feel like my spasticity is getting worse. Please feel free to email me (PLTWHT@AOL.COM). My husband has spina bifida. We help each other, but lately, I've been needing more help than ever!!!!!!!
