hi folks! i've been using accutane for over 5 months now, am currently on 80mgs/day- 40am/40pm- and recently got the news that my cholesterol is up as are my triglycerides. i eat oatmeal every single day and don't consume one ounce of (bad) cholesterol at all ever. i also guzzle down metamucil 3x/day, before each real meal. i eat veges like crazy, never red meat, occasional chicken, and lots of black and green and herbal tea. i do eat chocolate occasionally, but we're talking every 6-8 weeks on average. i use no refined sugar and steer clear of white flour as well as dairy.
any other accutane users experiencing anything like this? what have you done? has anything worked? am i doomed to either go off accutane or go on lipitor? i'm only 30!
also, have any previous accutane users with this problems seen it go away after their course of treatment was over?
i welcome any advice or just words of encouragement here! thanks guys!
