Shoes

Hello guys,
I just was wondering what was a good brand of shoes to wear? All of my shoes make me feel as if I am wearing logs on my feet. I have a pair of New Balance that I have absolutely loved but even they make me feel awkward. just was wondering if anyone else had that problem?

Thanks,
Shellette

Re: Shoes

Hi Shellette,

Again we have something in common. I always seem to have a problem adjusting to a new pair of shoes, especially tennis shoes. I bought a pair of Nikes that looked really comfortable but after weeks of wearing it still feels like the soles are made of plywood. Same thing with a pair of Converse. I found I must have a shoe with a very flexible sole or my feet just "clunk". I always tell people I feel as if I'm wearing cinder blocks for shoes. I DO however have a pair of Spalding cross trainers that feel great with a soft, flexible sole, like slippers. I'm looking for another pair cause I love them. I also have a pair of Dockers leather slip-ons for semi-dress up that are really comfy. I realize that women's shoes are a whole different story! Let me know how you make out.

Re: Shoes

Hello Mark,
Well I'm still looking for shoes I think I may try one of those specialty shoe shops. We have one here that analyzes your foot and gait. Well I went for my 2nd EMG. It hurt worst than the 1st one. Well this doctor is doing my biopsy in June and she is also sending me to the *** clinic. When she was doing my EMG, she commented on all the noise my nerves were making. She said that my nerves were good, but the muscles were bad. She could tell that the nerves were sending the messages but the muscles weren't getting them. That's exactly how I felt. I've been feeling pretty good since it's been warmer. I looked forward to a definite diagnosis. They also took an xray of my chest, have you had that? I thought that was kind of weird. but I will keep you posted.

Re: Shoes

Hi Mark & Shellette,
Shoes sure are a real bummer! I hate looking for new shoes. So I wear mine for years. And dress shoes and I just don't get along. If I can't wear my tenny's then I have to stay home. Lucky for me I don't dress up much.
Good luck on your shoe hunting Shellette!

Re: Shoes

Thanks Billie,
I'm still looking. Well not quite looking yet. I think I may be walking on the ground by the end of the summer I'm not looking forward to going through the drama, but hopefully I will find what I want at one store. What kind of tennis do you wear? I saw the ad for the new Nike shoe and they look very comfie but I bet they cost a fortune

Thanks for the advice,
Shellette
