Question Xenacal Dilemna

I have been taking xenacal for exactly 8 days now. The side effects are bearable, as my doctor had advised, only severe if I eat a high fat meal, which I rarely do. My question is this, has anyone used this drug with any significant success? I am lucky enough that my insurance does cover it, so the cost is great, I pay less than any of the over the counter stuff costs, but I see no results so far. I am a little concerned, and my doctor didn't advise how long it should be before I see some results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Xenacal Dilemna

Hey Lady,
I tried that a couple of years ago. My insurance didn't pay for it and it was quite expensive. I'm glad to hear yours does. I tried it for one month, however, I still ate what I wanted and I think I maybe lost 1 pound. I hated the side (toilet) effects. My uncle on the other hand has taken it for way to long I think about 2 years now. He eats low fat and lost 60lbs and has kept it off. If I hadn't had to pay $120.00 dollars a bottle I might of stayed on it and tried a little harder. If I were you I would keep trying it for a couple months and see how it goes. Good Luck LMG

Re: Xenacal Dilemna

Hi Lady, i was on this some 4 years ago and found it to be quite effective. My doctor had nothing but praises for this drug, i of course had my reservations but because there was minimal side effects and it was somewhat of a natural substance i gave it a shot. Unfortunately, i had to quit taking it as i became pregnant at the time. If i was to go back on anything Xenical would be my choice. The only one problem i had with it was the oily stools when i ate fat (but that only defeated the purpose). I wish you luck. I think it started working at the 3 week mark, it was shortly after that time that i had to quit. My doc also stated that it was the best on the market in terms of effectiveness, and keeping off the weight. My advice, keep at it and let us know how it works by day 21.
