Biopsy results today

I went to my Urologist today for the results of my Biopsy. I took my wife with me..The results showed that I do have Prostate Cancer. My Gleason Scores were 6&7. I had 3 tumors on the prostate.. I am going to tackle this disease head on and beat it. I am going to schedule the surgery as soon as possible. My Doctor said that he prefers the Perinial(may have spelled it wrong) method. I am meeting with my primary care physician tomorrow... to get his opinion.. I have done a lot of reading today and I feel as though my Cancer is sort of in the middlle of the road... I will keep everyone informed of my progress.. God Bless everyone

Thank you, very much appreciated.. I am having Cat Scan as well as Bone scan next week.. Surgery Scheduled for the 17th of June,.. My Doctor, did not feel as though I would need a Bone scan due to my PSA was under 10.. But where I have great insurance, I asked him if I could have them and she gave the Orders.... Have a great weekend... eem.. By the Way I live in Maine...

That's a wonderful attitude to have, and I admire your request for the scans regardless of the doctors opinion. It will ease your mind if nothing else and thats most important at this time. I wish you the best on this journey.

My wife is taking it harder than I am.. She talked with our Family Doctor and he recommended going to a larger Hospital that my be better equipped if there was any emergencies.. I told her that I wanted to still have it on the 17th at the Hospital where my Urologist practices...She has been in tears most of the day.. I am going to meet with the surgeon at this hopital on Monday... WIll keep you posted
