Post Rhino 5 mnths later......

Hi everyone,

I had a Rhinoplasty 5 months ago. There was a very slight hump that appeared just under the bridge afterwards, and I was told it would disappear as the swelling subsided. The hump is still slightly visible, is it true I'll only see the final result in about a year?

well, okay i got my rhino done first time in November of 99. The fraud of a doctor told me it would take atleast a year. he's a total ******* and a liar. ack, you should have seen it, i went for a check up at another doctor and they said that my cartilage was colasped and all this horrible stuff.

then i got my rhino reconstructed and that was in August of 2000. I did have a bump on the bridge, and we were worried about that (since we had trouble in the past) and they told us to wait until December to see if it would settle. Well, December rolled around and i had the option to have it shaved down or to just keep it. We have noticed that the bump is going down more and more and more as time moves on. the Doctor is even surprised. So i skipped the shaving down idea and now it's BEAUTIFUL! there is still a MINOR bump (but incredibly hard to see unless it's your nose and you stare at it for about an hour every damn day hehe).

So just wait...do you notice it shrinking? if you do, then just wait it out, maybe a year until you think about getting it shaved down.

Delyrium,

Can you say who your dr was if it's in NY area (or east coast)? Or you can email me at
jilla@ix.netcom.com

OR anyone who had a positive experience with first surgery on nose, please send me an email of your recommendations for surgeons!
Thanks.
