Liposuction for extreme obesity?

I have a 300+ lb relative whose recently diagnosed diabetes might be controlled through weight loss. Anyone out there have any experience with liposuction at all? Costs? Limits? Good informational web sites?

Liposuction generally is not used for obese patients. There may be other alternatives; albeit some of them pretty drastic. Medical help should be pursued.
